Before the Rain came, James and Maeve were young and happy.
They first met in their senior year of high school when they did a project together.
They dated for six years and then got married.
The wedding was a happy time with family and friends.
Nine months later Skye Jamison, weighing in at 9.2 ounces, was born.
He was a happy baby who almost never cried and loved to play.
James and Maeve always taught Skye to embrace different cultures and to approach things differently.
Two months after Skye was born the Jamisons moved into a town outside the city where the sky was always blue and everyone was always happy.
The town was called Sistelville
There house was a small but reasonable and had blue siding and light grey roofing.
Skye was only four when the Rain happened.
He remembered he and his dad were outside looking at the worms in the ground when an unfamiliar
voice came over the speakers: “All citizens must stop what they are doing and go to their houses
That was repeated five more times over fifteen minutes.
Everyone thought it was strange because there was no reason for the announcement.
Maeve was out at the only store in town and did not come come for the rest of the day.
Four days later people were allowed outside again.
The ground was damp and the sky was grey.
James and Skye were alone and still could not find Maeve.
James noticed a very significant difference for what life was like before in the way that the sky was not blue anymore and the paved streets and the perfectly cut hedges were all gone.
The way of life was changed completely.
That evening the same voice came over the speaker and said, “All subjects to the town hall.”
That was repeated 5 time over fifteen minutes.
All had changed and with no sign of Maeve, James started to get very worried.
It was only later that night when the doorbell rang.
The man in all black stood there with a file and a blank face.
Slowly James asked, "May I help you?"
The man in black pulled out a file and read, "Due to stab wound to the stomach, Maeve Jamison was pronounced dead at 4:26 pm."
James and Skye laid in bed crying for the rest of the night.
Without an explanation for what had happened to her, James was left baffled and scared of what would come next.
A day later Maeve's belongings were dropped off.
As they searched thought the box they found a pin with an engraving which said,
If the world changes and all hope is lost, we shall overcome.
James put the pin on Skye, and Skye wore it everyday for the next five years.
When Skye was eight his father died.
His father had been depressed since Maeve’s death and killed himself.
Skye, now living with his dads parents, was young and confused.
Skye never wanted to get attached to anyone because of his deaths in his childhood.
Skye’s grandparents house was a small apartments in the city where they was not much to do.
His grandfather taught Skye to be good and to always follow his directions.
He never listened.
After the Rain, Skye noticed a difference.
All the people had to wear a uniform, men would wear a blue collared shirt and blue pants and the women would wear a blue collared shirt and a blue checkered dress.
Everyone looked the same.
All the people stared to act like robots.
Skye thought it was like mind control.
Skye was not affected what ever was controlling them.
He thought it had something to do with the fact that he was taught to think differently.
Every sunday all of the subjects had to meet in the town center and pray to the leader, Jin.
Skye never saw what Jin looked liked, but a kid from school said he saw him once and said he had long black hair and was a tall man with a greasy face and a long coat of black hair.
In school Skye was now taught that his leader was above all and was able to make his own rules.
Skye never agreed and one day he got pushed over the edge.
Skye was sitting in his bedroom and was called down stairs.
He thought it was strange because he never left his room unless it was lunch or dinner time or was time to go to school.
His grandfather said to get in the car.
They both drove down to the town hall and was called into a office.
The name on the office read JAMES MARTIN.
Scared, Skye sat down in a old wooden chair with a creaky leg.
“James” looked like around 30 and had a goatee and a long face with dirty blond hair.
The man said, “Hello I am Mr.Martin, a… friend. Your mother and I were great friends.
The day she died I was with her.”
“What do you mean?” Skye said hesitantly.
“We were walking down the street and a man came from around the corner,
and I tried to stop him but he was too strong.”
He lifted up his sleeve and showed a scar that was about three inches high.
Confused, Skye asked, “Why were you with her?”
“We had just finished a meeting about you in fact. She wanted to tell you what it was about… but she never got home. Your mother was working on something that is very important. She was trying to learn what was going on inside the government. A lot has changed since what we call the Rain.”
Skye was alway that the Rain happened to make the world better.
In school Mrs. Gowen told them to follow what they're superior and when she would be asked why things changed she would always tell them to go to the masters office.
Before, when Skye went out he could talk and go where he wanted, but after that day he could barely leave his home.
“Your mother never got to tell your day either so she could not give you this,”
Mr. Martin pulled out a large roll of paper that had a seal on it.
Skye thought I looked very official.
Mr. Martin used his nail to cut the seal and quickly handed the paper to him.
Skye and Mr. Martin both looked over what looked to be a design of a building with a large circle around a room.
At that moment there was an abrupt knock at the door, “Mr. Martin, you have someone here to see you.”
Quickly Mr. Martin grabbed Skye and told him, “Take this and put it into your bag.”
He left and Skye went out to the lobby where his grandfather was sitting patiently.
When they got home his grandparents asked him what the meeting was about.
Skye lied and told them that it was about his mother her will.
Later that night, Skye spent a few hour carefully examining what Mr. Martin had given him.
He looked at all the different room and sections of the plans.
Skye thought it was so interesting.
Turned it over and saw a faded writing that said The Tower
Thats when it clicked.
Skye remembered every night his mom would read him a story about a little boy who would try to get into a great bug building in the town and every night he would get closer.
His mom never finished the story.
The last story his mom told him was he was about to get into the hidden vault that only he could get into because he had a special family pin.
If the boy could get into the room and reset the way the community is run and save the day.
Skye started to think that maybe the story was about him.
Maybe this whole thing was a setup for him to change the way things around again.
It all made sense, the pin, the story.
Thinking a million thoughts a second, Skye hit the sack.
The next morning, Skye got the news.
His grandfather was reading the newspaper and his face went pale.
He showed the page to his grandmother and she looked at Skye.
Skye knew that look.
It was the same look he had been told with when his dad died.
“Who did you meet with yesterday?” His grandfather said.
“Mr. Martin. Why?”
“He is dead.”
Skye looked at his grandfather and started to cry.
“He was the only person that could tell me about my mother.”
For the rest of the day Skye locked him self in his room and cried a bit and then looked at the floor plans.
That night Skye left his house, on a mission to figure out what was going on in his small town.
All Skye had was a big with his blueprint, a few sandwiches and his pin his mother had given him.
Skye always wore it over his heart.
Skye never went outside normally after the town changed, so he did not know his way around.
He saw the only market in town and the only restaurant in town.
Skye saw the men walking in all black.
They moved in unison and always carried metal sticks.
Skye only saw them doing something once.
There was a man who took a bottle of orange juice, and the men beat him to death.
Before everything changed they had the police, but after they had the all blacks.
Skye kept running and found a small side street to hide in.
He thought about how his grandparents would be scared and worried about him.
Skye did not care.
He tightened his boots and ran along.
He was running down the cobble stone streets when he heard a quiet say his name.
Skye looked back only to see a small alleyway that looked like it was empty.
He looked closer and saw a door close.
Cautiously he ran to the door and stood there hesitantly.
Skye looked up and down the alleyway and went in.
Inside was a great big table and a fireplace that looked like it had been used recently.
The floor creaked as he stepped.
Skye heard the same voice behind him and that made him jump.
He turned around to see Mr. Martin.
"You look like you have seen a ghost." Mr. Martin said.
"I looked into he paper and saw that you were dead." Skye said with a confused face.
"They came to my home and took me away from my family but I got away.
Skye stood there dumbfounded and did not know what to say.
"I want to help you. You and me can work together to get into the tower." Mr. Martin said.
"How can you help me." Skye said with his eyebrow lifted.
"Your mother gave you a pin right?"
"Skye pulled out the pin and put it into Mr.Martins hand.
Mr. Martin looked at it for a moment and than said, "This pin was given to your mother when she was a child."
Skye took a step closer to Mr. Martin so no one would hear them.
"The day your mother was killed, she found out what the pins capabilities were. She was going to tell your father but never got home."
Mr. Martin paused and then continued.
"Once she found out about the pin, people were notified. It is very dangerous to do what we do but fighting for what it right is most important."
Skye and Mr. Martin continued to make their way to where the tower was.
The tower stood near the outskirts of the town and was guarded all day and all night.
One their way Mr. Martin explained the plan.
It seemed very simple but it was very complex.
Mr. Martin said that he has been spending years trying to figure out what the pans meant.
He said that the idea immediately came to mind when the Rain happened.
Mr. Martin said he knew something was not right that day.
He said he saw people near the town hall acting strange.
“There was a man with a long coat walking through the streets looking around.
He have a package to a man who was with a group of men.”
Mr. Martin lived in Sistelville for years before and never saw anything like this.
As they walked in silence down the cobblestone streets Mr. Martin turned to Skye.
“Your mother and father would be very proud of you.”
Skye kept silent but smiled.
They made their way to the town as the day was coming to an end.
The sky was dark as the pits of hell.
When the sun went down things changed.
The men around the tower started to gain in numbers.
They used spotlights to scan the land.
Every minute the light would come to where Mr. Martin and Skye were.
Every time Skye would have a mini heart attack.
The All Blacks were patrolling the grounds.
They carried there guns.
They security was a lot more than the other places in the town.
Skye found thought it was a good sign that they were guarding something.
The men walked up and down the streets all night.
Skye noticed that after dusk, the people who lived close by went inside.
There was a sense of fear in the air.
Mr. Martin and Skye moved to a parking lot that was across the street.
They moved behind a pillar and Skye dozed off.
Mr. Martin stayed up to plan the quest for the next day.
Skye did not sleep much that night.
He could tell things were changing and he did not like it.
Thing had changed once, now twice.
Skye felt like the walls were closing in on him.
The people were quieter and the security was raised.
He was scared about the smallest things.
Skye wondered what would happen to him if he was caught.
After a long time of wondering, Skye stood up and stretched.
He was scared to think of what the day would bring.
Skye knew he was ready though.
He knew this was what was right.
They made their way to the top of the parking garage.
Mr. Martin pulled a pair of binoculars.
They he found the area he was searching and gave them to Skye.
“Look at the stair case in the far left courtyard.”
Skye saw a door that was unguarded but sounded by a barbed wire fence.
“That is where they bring in materials for the tower.”
Skye used the binoculars to zoom in on the door.
“It has a lock on it.” Skye said franticly.
Mr Martin turned to Skye and said, “Thats where you come in.”
Skye’s heart started to beat faster and he said, “What do I have to do?”
“The All Blacks are now going to be looking for you.” Mr. Martin said.
“How do you know?”
“As we were walking by the news store i saw your picture. I did not want to scare you. You are wanted because your grandfather told the government that your were missing. I guess they put it together that you were going to try to avenge your mother. You must be more careful now.”
Skye did not say anything but he just nodded.
“If they see you they will try to do what they did to me.”
“ I have a task for you.”
Skye payed very close attention to what he said.
Skye went down to the street where a group of All Blacks were.
He got ready to run as he was taking his life into his hands.
Skye had to distract the guards and make it so Mr. Martin could take the keys from they groans station.
Skye was surprised how much MR. Martin knew about the layout of The Tower.
He saw narrow walking path the lead in to a junction.
One of the paths lead into a forest and one lead into the entrance to the grage.
Skye saw the men round the corner threw a rock at the ground near them.
They all looked up at him and chased him down the strs et.
As he rounded the corner he saw another group of All Blacks coming out of the garage.
Skye ran into the only place he could, the forest.
The trees we very tall and the leaves made a crunch as they met Skye's feet.
Skye loomed back and saw the men running full speed.
He saw one them start to pull out their weapons.
When the fist one was fired Skye started to run faster.
He was panting, but he knew he could not stop.
He ran deeper and deeper and the shots seemed to come closer and closer.
One of the shots hit the tree nest to him.
Skye looked back to see the damage and thats when he fell.
He skidded across the ground.
He smashed his head on a rock hit his knee on a root.
He laid there in a daze.
As the All Blacks came closer and closer he stated to close his eyes.
He did not remember what happened next.
He woke up in a chair and his hands tied.
There was a bright light shining in the room that made it hard to see.
Skye looked around and saw nothing.
The door opened and in came a man with long hair.
He had a brown jacket on and a pair of black pants.
He wore a scarf around his neck and a ring with a crest that Skye could not make out.
“Skye Jamison, son of James and Maeve Jamison. My name is Jin.”
Skye kept quiet know that I would be for the best.
“Your family has a bit of a reputation of not following the rules.” Jin said.
“Where am i?” Skye said.
“If you really want to know, we are in a holding cell in the bottom of a secret building,”
Skye was confused my he told him.
“The reason I tell you this is you will never make it out of here.”
Skye was not confused anymore.
“What were you going around the tower making all the guards have to run around?”
Skye said nothing.
“I need your help. I may be able to help you if you can help me.” Jin said.
Just then there was a knock and the door.
He stood up and opened the view window and opened up the door.
There was a guard staining motionless and he fell to the ground.
Standing there was Mr. Jamison.
Mr. Jamison hit Jin with a metal object and he fell over like a bowling pin.
Mr. Jamison closed the door and untied Skye.
“How did you get in?” Skye asked while giving walking out of the room.
Mr. Jamison did not answer.
They walked down the halls and laying there we bodies of the All Blacks.
Skye looked up at mr Jamison and smiled.
Skye always saw this kind of stuff on TV but never in real life.
They made their way up to the top of the stairwell where there were more bodies of the All Blacks.
They rounded a corner and saw two men getting up.
Mr. Jamison pushed Skye behind him and pulled out his metal object.
The first man came up to Mr. Martin and went for a body punch.
Mr. Martin blocked the and hit his hand with the meal object.
As the man took a step backward, Mr. Martin hit the man upside the face with his weapon.
The assailant fell backwards to the ground.
The other man came from Mr. Martins side and hit him with his knee.
Mr.Martin fell backwards but grabbed the metal handrail.
Mr. Martin kicked the man in the knee and made him fall over.
As the man started to get up Mr. Martin swung his weapon and knocked the assailant out.
Mr. Martin leaned up against the wall and caught his breath.
Skye now saw Mr. Martin as a hero.
As they both stood there in silence, Skye thought about all the things that had changed.
The way people lived was now much different.
Before it was a happy place where there were no worries and every thing was happy.
Skye realized that things were changing and the only thing he could do was help.
That night is when they planed how they were going to get in to The Tower.
Skye and Mr. Martin were bother very serious and had their minds set on their goal.
They were put until late at night plaint how they would get through the fence and into the door.
“Once inside,” Mr. Martin said, “we will go put the east set of stairs.”
He pointed to that place on the plans.
“We will make it to the security room and disable the alarm so we can make it to the second level.”
Mr. Martin pointed to that on the plans.
Skye was overwhelmed by all the ideas running though his mind.
This was a tough emotional time of skye.
Skye missed his grandparents and his home.
Before, Skye felt like his grandparents were his only connection to his parents.
Now that he had gotten to know Mr. Martin, Skye felt like he was his best friend.
He was the only person he could trust.
Mr. Martin pulled the keys that he had gotten out of the guard station.
He pointed to a long sliver one that looked like it was never used.
“This is the we will use to get into the door.”
Mr. Martin put everything into his bag and sat down.
Skye pulled out two sandwiches that he had packed and gave one to Mr. Martin.
They both sat there in science enjoying the only food they had in the last day and a half.
It seemed like forever until the time came.
It was around dusk when they went for the door.
There were three men that patrolled the opposite courtyard.
Mr. Martin and Skye snuck behind a pillar.
They waited util the spotlight was past them and then ran quickly to the fence.
Mr. Martin pulled out a pair of wire cutters and started to cut the fence.
“When we make it through we will go to the side of the door.” Mr. Martin whispered.
As Mr. Martin was half way done, the men cam background the building on the opposite courtyard.
They did not see them as it was just to dark.
Mr Martin cut the last wire and quietly took the piece of fence off.
They walked through the hole and moved over to the door.
Mr. Martin and Skye sat there for a bit because the spotlight was coming back around.
They moved over to the door and Mr. Martin used the key to unlock the door.
Skye moved into the door followed by Mr. Martin.
They walked up to flights of stairs.
Skye heard voices and looked up the stairs.
He saw two men walking down the stairs.
Mr. Martin pulled Skye into a small maintenance closet.
It was dark and smelled of cleaning supplies.
Skye heard the foot steps of the two men walk by.
Skye waited until they were out of earshot and started to heath again.
They left the closet and continued up the stairs.
They made it to the security door where there was no one guarding the door.
They looked inside the viewing window and saw 4 men typing on computers.
Mr. Martin grabbed his bag and took out a small sphere with a fuse.
He took out a lighter out of his back pocket.
He pushed Skye over into the corner and lit the fuse.
He opened the door and threw it in.
After three of four second a dense cloud of black smoke came bellowing out.
Skye heard men screaming and things crashing.
Skye wanted to go inside and help but he knew it would be bad.
About a minute later, Skye saw a man come out.
It was Mr. Jamison.
He had a little limp but other than that he was fine.
“Those men had some fight in them.” Mr. Jamison said panting.
They waited another minute for the smoke to clear.
They continued into the room.
It was a very large room.
They walls were lined with monitors and control panels.
There was a large board in the center with three computers on it.
Mr. Jamison sat down at the table and plugged in a USB flash drive.
Skye went over to watch and see what was happening.
There was a lot of code and number that Skye could not understand.
Mr. Jamison did some typing and clicking and a message came up saying, SYSTEM DISARMED.
Mr. Jamison leaned back and gave Skye a high five.
They were in and it felt great.
They left the room and locked the door.
They walked up another two flights of stairs and saw another door.
They waited to see if they could hear any sounds inside.
They tried to open the door but it was locked.
Mr. Martin pulled out the keys and tried out every one.
None of the keys worked.
Mr. Martin looked at the key hole and could not figurer it out.
Thats when Skye helped.
“I saw a key down in the security room that I think will fit that lock.”
They ran back down that stars and opened the door.
Skye pointed to the man who had the key.
Mr. Martin ran over to the man and took the keys from the belt.
Skye felt a hand grab the back of his leg.
He looked over and saw one of the men waking up.
He spit up blood and started to stand up.
Frozen, Skye did not know what to do.
The man stood up and grabbed Skye by the mouth.
The man's blood was dripping into Skye’s hair.
Skye did the only thing he knew he could do.
Skye bit down on his hand and the man made a screaming noise.
Skye could tell the man was in pain but he did not let go.
Mr. Martin looked over and saw them.
He quickly grabbed a mug that was sitting on the desk and threw it at the man.
It hit him right in the head and knocked him down.
Mr. Martin ran over and told Skye to back up.
“Go over there and don't look.”
All Skye could hear was two men moving around and a few crashes.
When Skye looked back over he saw the man laying there motionless.
He had a gash going from the midway point of his forehead down to his lip.
He ran over to Mr. Martin who was standing by the door and they went back up stairs.
They tried the key on the door and heard a click and then a pop.
The door opened and the both went through.
It lead into a long hallway.
There were multiple doors all marked with different names.
Without saying anything, Mr. Martin pointed to the door.
The door that Mr. Martin gestured to was a tall door with a metal key pad lock.
As they approached the door Skye heard noises coming from inside the door.
The noises sounded like people but he could not put it together.
Mr. Martin and Skye looked at each other
The hallway was quiet and scary.
Skye felt a chill go down his back.
Mr. Martin approached the key pad and stood there puzzled.
“Is everything fine Mr. Martin?” Skye said.
“When we disarmed the security system it stopped the cameras, not the locks.”
They both stood there stunned and did not know what to do.
Behind that door is what they needed to make things normal again.
Thats when they heard the voice.
It was a deep voice and was a little bit scary.
It was coming from the security room.
Skye and Mr. Martin threw themselves around the corner and listened.
They just heard foot steps.
They got louder and louder.
Then they stopped.
Skye heard the person stop and wait.
It was quiet for 30 seconds before they heard anything again.
As the man walked closer and closer to the corner and Skye's heart beat faster and faster.
They moved farther and farther from corner and tried to hide.
It was no use.
They saw a tall man round the corner.
The man had a pair of black cowboy boots on and a pair of leather pants.
His shirt was red and he wore a baseball hat.
As he approached, no one said anything.
It was a scary moment for every one.
“Skye, is that you?” The man said.
Skye did not answer.
As the man approached Mr. Martin stepped in front of Skye.
“Who are you?” Mr. Martin said.
“I am the man who is going to help you.”
Mr. Martin hesitated and then said, “How do you know Skye?”
“I worked with his mother.” The tall man said.
Skye pushed out from behind Mr. Martin and asked, “How do you know my mother?”
“What is your name?” Mr. Martin asked in a commanding voice.
Skye was shocked.
“I am your mothers brother.”
“She always told me that she had no siblings.” Skye said confused.
“She never told you just to protect you.”
Skye started to wonder what other secrets he did not know.
Sam showed them where they were going to try to go.
The plans did not matchup with the ones Mr. Martin had.
“Those plans are old. The room we are looking for has been moved.” Sam said.
Skye and Mr. Martin has no choice to believe him so they went with it.
They found a room that Sam showed them and they used it to plan.
Sam seemed like a nice guy and someone that could help.
“The room has its own network. It is not able to be found by anyone unless they are in the room.” Sam said, “Skye, you have your pin right?”
Skye pulled his shirt up so Sam could see. They both stoped and looked at it like it was amazing.
They felt like it was the only thing left from his mother.
After thinking and talking for a while, they found a stair case that went up to the top of the Tower.
The stairs were creaky and very steep.
Skye felt like he was going to fall through.
The walls were damp and the mice crawled through the holes in the wall.
Skye found it strange that this was in this big tower.
From the outside, it did not look like it could contain such a thing. Mr. Martin and Sam both walked quietly up the stairs.
If Mr.Martin Sam heard the slightest creak, they would both push to the walls.
Skye thought that it was weird that they were so crazy.
Skye saw the last flight of stairs.
As he rounded the corner, they saw two men.
It was time to take care of the obstacle to get to the goal.
Mr. Martin took the them both down as Sam stayed back with Skye.
Two men came rolling down the stairs and Mr. Martin laughed.
“Weak men to guard such an important room.” Mr. Martin said.
“I think it may just be the beginning. If you look at the plans, there is more than one door.” Sam said confidently.
Sam, Skye and Mr. Martin continued on.
They opened the door and there were ten men.
The men ran towards them.
Mr. Martin took a metal box out of his pocket.
He placed it down and put his foot on it.
Suddenly, the box opened to be a massive shield.
Skye could hear the men hit the other side and they screamed.
Mr. Martin waited a few seconds and then taped it with his foot again.
The ten men laid there on the ground motionless.
“Electro-box?” Sam asked Mr. Martin.
Mr. Martin just winked.
The three stepped over the men and continued.
The halls doors were all open except the one at the end of the hall.
They thought that that was the door they needed to get through.
As they approached the door, they saw that it had multiple locks on it.
Three to be exact.
They all stood there for a bit and they were all getting antsy.
Skye asked Mr. Martin, “Do you have any gadgets that can help us?”
Before Mr. Martin could answer,”I do.” Sam said.]
“I have a skeleton key.” Sam said.
“That could do the job.” Mr. Martin said emphatically.
Sam put the key into the first lock, “Click!”.
Sam continued and after a few seconds, all three locks were unlocked.
“I also have tools.” Sam said with a sly voice.
Mr. Martin dropped all three locks to the ground.
Sam slowly opened the door with Skye hidden behind him.
Skye felt like Sam and Mr. Martin would die for him.
Skye felt safe for the first time the whole journey.
Right as Skye thought that, three projectiles shot out at them.
Sam turned and pushed Sky to the ground.
Out of the corner of his eye, Skye saw Mr. Martin fall to the ground.
Mr. Martin let out a ear piercing scream.
He had been hit.
Sam went over to him and assessed the damage.
He had been hit in the torso.
Skye could see the blood coming out.
“Mr. Martin, wait here. Skye and I will go in and do it our selves.”
“No!” Mr. Martin said.
He got up and continued on.
Skye could see Mr. Martins shirt changed from yellow to red.
It was not good for Mr. Martin.
As the group entered the room, they all noticed something strange.
There were about 100,000 monitors around the room.
Each monitor had a label on it.
As Skye looked closer, they were names of people he knew.
Mr. Cirbb, his teacher.
Sarah, the woman who worked at the store.
Everyones names were there and pictures were displayed of everyone.
The only monitors that were off were Mr. Martin, Sam and Skye.
The names were alphabetized so it was easy to find.
In the center, there was a big tower with a glass box in the middle.
As Skye looked at it, he saw what looked to be a lightbulb.
It was so bright, it hurt to look at.
As Skye looked closer, he realized it was not a lightbulb.
It seemed to connect to all the monitor and power them.
There were so many cords on the ground they had to step over them.
Skye walked up to the box and there was a strange hole on the top.
“Mr. Martin, Sam, come here.” Skye said.
The three stood together for a while and were all puzzled.
“I never thought we would get to this point.” Mr. Martin said.
Skye continued to look at the box.
Something seemed very familiar.
The top matched the pin his mother had given him!
Without thinking, Skye ripped the pin off of his shirt and fit it in the hole.
Suddenly the box opened and the lights went down.
Then the lights came back up but they were just normal celling lights.
The monitors came on and they showed the news.
They showed people running in the streets and the flowers.
The headline read,”Things change in Sistelville.”
Skye realized that somehow the Rain had affected the people so they were ruled by Jin and the All Blacks.
Destroying the box made people normal again.
When Skye looked up to see Mr. Martin and Sam, they were not there.
No one was there.
He was alone in the room.
“Mr. Martin? Sam?” Skye said quietly.
No one was there.
He was alone.
Maeby Mr. Matin and Sam were just there to help him for the time that he needed them.
When he made things right again, they went away.
All Skye saw was a bag.
A bag with a note.
The note read, “We have helped you for what you needed us for. You can do this alone. Pull the pin and run.”
Skye opened the bag and saw a small box.
It had a rip-cord.
Skye placed it on the center of the table and got ready to run.
He pulled the cord.
Skye was already long gone.
All Skye heard was a boom as he hopped down the stairs like a rabbit.
Skye did not see anyone.
No garuds, no nothing.
All Skye saw an emergency exit.
He ran to the door.
The staircase lead to a little room that could see the outside and had a door also.
He sat down for a few seconds and caught a breather.
He was scared to see if the All Blacks were on the streets.
There were none.
Everything was back to normal.
Skye stood up and walked to the door.
He took a deep breath and stepped out side.
There were people out on the streets and people were happy.
There were cars and all the stores were open.
There was a strange glow to the town.
Everything seemed happy.
Skye started to walk back to where the houses were.
Skye was scared, but he knew it was time.
For the first time, Skye felt comfortable walking.
There was no fear.
The only people that were out on the streets were happy citizens.
Everyone seemed have changed over night.
Everyone was happy.
Everyone was confident.
Everyone was back to normal.
Skye began to walk to the only place he knew, his home.
Skye walked down the streets and saw his friends.
They all said hello to him.
He felt like he was the hero walking.
As Skye approached his house.
All of the memories were brought back to him as he saw his house.
Skye stood at the door of his grandparents house and could not breath.
Skye was so nervous.
He hesitantly pressed the door bell and waited.
As the door opened Skye felt like he had a ton of bricks on him.
“Skye!” His grandmother said as she embraced him.
The ton of bricks went away.
For the first time, his grandparents were not mad.
They were so happy to see him.
They went into the during room and sat down at the table.
“We are both so happy to see you!” They both said simultaneously.
They sat at the table for an hour and Skye told them what he did.
He told them about Mr. Martin and Sam.
He told them about the Rain and what it really did.
He told them about the room and what was in it.
After an hour of talking, his grandparents just smiled.
“Thats some story you have there!”
“No! It really happened. I made everything right again.” Skye said.
His grandparents laughed.
Skye went up to his room and just sat there.
He had made everything right.
He was the hero and he saved the town.
Skye was the hero and he was the reason that everyone was ok.
Skye thought to himself that no matter how many people told him he was crazy, he would never forget.
