The definition of fake is, "anything made to appear otherwise than it actually is; counterfeit"
Many times at Fenn we have has a film crew come in. On the first day, Mr. Ward said that it would not be staged. He wanted our school to have a natural feel. He said that we should not look at the cameras and that we should give out a "natural feel".
After the first five seconds of saying that, a student stands up. He says, "They told me to make this announcement. They said they wanted to take a picture." That was a great moment to show what the real mindset was.
It sometimes seems that Fenn wants to make the better image for themselves and they don't realize that it is affecting their image. Let me explain. Fenn makes all these videos and they don't show the "real" Fenn.
Fenn was on Chronicle. They showed what Fenn was really like everyday. At Fenn we supposedly are allowed to push, wrestle and rough house in everyday class. We are an all boys school and we are very physical. Beside from the occasional recess recall, pushing and shoving in class does not go well. The teachers do not allow that kind of stuff to happen. Fenn tries so hard to make them selves look like a friendly and fun school, but by doing that it made Fenn look like a school that is physical and that could make a open minded person see Fenn as a bad school.
The video was a great example of how Fenn shows fake aspects. I heard about a science class that the film crew took over the entire class. They made the class burn random things and do "science things". They said it was like a photo shoot and they were put into positions and they had to stay there.
Sometimes trying to hard can make you seem like a different place than you want to be.
